About the Angel Wings Project

The Angel Wings Project began during my junior year of high school as a creative challenge to merge painting and photography. Inspired by artist Colette Miller, who uses street art to uplift communities, I developed mobile wings to bring a similar sense of joy to my hometown.

What started as a collaboration with elementary students in the "Take Flight" program quickly evolved into a mission to support women and children’s shelters across Atlanta. For many of the families I visit, these sessions provide more than just a fun activity—they result in the first professional photographs these mothers have ever owned, capturing cherished memories during difficult times.

The project’s core mission is to combat the stigmas and insecurities that often hinder happiness. By capturing the moment a child "spreads their wings," the project documents their transition from fear to empowerment.
